Clarence William Reagan, Sr.
Clarence William Reagan, Sr., 69, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, April 3, 2006, in his home. He was born on November 1, 1936, in Crucible, Pa., son of the late John Weldon and Ada Catherine Snyder Reagan.
Clarence enlisted in the United States Navy in 1956, which he made a career as a Boiler Technician 1 E6 Petty Officer on several naval ships. Two years prior to enlistment in the United States Navy, he served for the National Guard, served in seven Vietnam Tours as well as several tours abroad before retiring out of Long Beach, California in August 1976.
As a result of his retirement he became a 100% Disabled Veteran. He was awarded a Bronze Star, lifetime member of DAV, former president of Clarksville, Pa., Lions Club, enjoyed woodworking and ceramics as well as fishing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Edwinna Reagan; four children: Clarence William Reagan, Jr. and wife, Toni of Pittsburgh, Pa., Janniece Reagan Ryan of Uniontown, Pa., Edward Weldon Reagan and wife, Heidi of Funkstown, Maryland, Jozette Reagan Linhart and husband, Brian of Albuquerque, New Mexico; seven grandchildren: Alexa and Aaron Ryan, Philip and Brody Nave, Kayla Reagan, Sydnie Tolbert and Madeline Linhart; mother-in-law, Esther Lucero of Uniontown, Pa.; stepmother, Margorie Reagan of Waynesburg, Pa.; two sisters: Audry Coppler of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Elizabeth (Betty) Phillips of Carmichaels, Pa.; two half sisters: Nancy Rowe of Carmichaels, Pa. and Cindy Reagan of Waynesburg, Pa.; two half brothers: James Reagan of Waynesburg, Pa. and Jerry Reagan of Washington, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Weldon, Ralph and John Reagan and a sister, Lula Dasta.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 680 CHERRY TREE LANE, UNIONTOWN, PA., on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m., with Pastor R. Scott Teets officiating.
Interment will be in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Full Military rites will be accorded by the United States Navy.
