Edward J. Kudyba, Sr.
Edward J. Kudyba, Sr., 81, of West Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, April 6, 2006, in his home. He was born on January 29, 1925, in Grantown, West Virginia, the son of the late Joseph and Stephina Liptinsky Kudyba.
He was a well-known self employed businessman. He was a refuse collector for over 20 years, a contractor and operated Curly’s Restaurant for nine years.
His wife, Violet Machesky Kudyba, son-in-law, James Matteo Barber, brothers, John, Albert and Joseph and a sister, Elizabeth Kudyba, predeceased him.
He is survived by four children: Ann Miller and husband, Rich of Belle Vernon, Pa., Edward Kudyba, Jr. and wife, Palma of West Brownsville, Theresa and husband, James Barber, Brownsville, and Paul Kudyba and wife, Bonnie also of Brownsville; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers: Paul Kudyba of Warren Ohio, Thomas Kudyba of York, Pa., Andrew Kudyba of York, Bernard Kudyba of Brownsville, and sisters: Mary Kudyba of Baltimore, Maryland, Kathryn Hughes of Baltimore and Anne Sabo of Aurora, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
