Lori Jean Russell and Earl Christopher Guthrie of National Pike, Markleysburg, are announcing their engagement. The bride-elect is the daughter of Rick Leighty of White and Sharon and Steve Long of Salisbury, N.C.
She is a 1996 graduate of Connellsville Area High school and is employed at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa.
Her fiance is the son of Earl and Edna Guthrie of Tobin School Road, Smithfield.
A 1994 graduate of Albert Gallatin School District, he also graduated in 1995 from ICM School of Business.
He is also employed at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa.
An Aug. 4, 2007, wedding is being planned.
