ATV warning given
East Bethlehem Township police said in response to several complaints of all-terrain vehicles being operated on township roadways, police will cite anyone operating an ATV on township roadways, which could entail fines in excess of $2,000.

Bar fight reported
Borough police said a man suffered a broken leg after being struck by a car on River Avenue during a large disturbance that began in a Club Avenue bar early Sunday morning and then spilled out onto River Avenue. Numerous males were involved in the disturbance and several vehicles parked outside the bar were damaged, according to police. Police said their investigation into the incident continues.

Citation issued
Borough police cited Adam Mehal, 23, of 104 Oak St., Masontown, for harassment after he allegedly arrived at the house of Debra Piper and threatened to kill her and her son on March 28.

Warrant served
Borough police officers and two state constables served a felony warrant on Troy Mannery, 38, of Edenborn on March 30 in Fort Mason Village. Mannery was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham and lodged in the Fayette County Prison, police said.

Richard Schartiger of 15 E. Church Ave. was cited for harassment after a domestic dispute at his residence Tuesday, borough police said.

Someone pumped $38 worth of unleaded gasoline at the Star Junction Gulf at 2:52 p.m. Saturday and then left without paying, state police said. The investigation is ongoing, said police.

Purse stolen
Someone cut the convertible roof of the vehicle belonging to West Brownsville resident Susan Marie Wagner and then stole her purse from inside while the vehicle was parked at 614 Adams St. between 10 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.

Someone stole a faceplate to a Panasonic compact disc player from Republic resident Carmen Bruschi’s 1996 Volkswagen Jetta while the vehicle was parked at a Short Street residence in Republic sometime near midnight on Saturday, said state police. The faceplate was valued at approximately $180, said police.

Business, car vandalized
A flurry of criminal activity took place inside Mongell Dom Tire Service overnight on Sunday.
Around 2:30 a.m., someone set fire to a car inside the North Broadway Street business, broke into a candy machine on the premises, stealing just the candy and ransacked the office area after forcefully entering the building through a window, according to spokesperson for the business, Mike Mongell. Mongell said fire damaged only the vehicle.

State police in Belle Vernon said on Sunday they found an item belonging to Michael T. Palmer, possibly of Uniontown or Laredo, Texas. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-929-6262.
