AMERICAN LEGION POST 51, Uniontown, is hosting the 73rd annual Americanism Day parade and banquet on May 1. The public is welcome to participate in the parade. Bricks and flags are still available for the World War II Memorial. The advertising booklet is nearing a deadline of Saturday. Anyone wishing to place a business or military memorial is asked to do so immediately by calling Joe T. Joseph, Americanism chairman, at 724-438-8688. SALVATION ARMY, 32 W. Fayette St., Uniontown is holding a craft, bake and rummage sale on may 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church basement. Refreshments will be available. ST. JOHN ALTAR SOCIETY, Perryopolis, will receive communion at the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Rosary will be recited at 7:45. Members are to note the meeting will be held April 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the social center.
