Man hospitalized
A man injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday in South Union Township remains hospitalized after being flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
John DeCarlo of Brownsville was listed as being in fair condition Monday afternoon, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
State police said vehicles driven by DeCarlo and Amy Stanec of Uniontown collided on Route 40 at 4:22 p.m. near Denny’s restaurant.
Police said Stanec was not injured in the crash.

Uniontown police said Naomi Drake of 4 Ash St., Uniontown, was cited for public drunkenness following an incident in a local bar at 10:45 p.m. Sunday.

Jeffery Kennedy of 20 O’Connell Ave., Uniontown, was cited for public drunkenness after an officer allegedly observed him staggering along North Gallatin Avenue near Walnut Street at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Uniontown police said.

Uniontown police said Amy Spade of 126 Denny St., Uniontown, was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident on Connellsville Street at 1:45 a.m. Monday.

Uniontown police said Kerry Frey of Uniontown was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole a bag of beef jerky from the A-Plus mini-mart on Morgantown Street at 2:39 a.m. Monday.

Man jailed
Southwest Regional Police charged Brian M. Dugan, 35, of 143 Republic Road, Republic, with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute at 209 Morgan St. in Newell. Police listed the alleged, unnamed victim as a 19-year-old. Dugan was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty Sr. following the incident Saturday and placed in the Fayette County Prison.

Charges pending
State police at Greensburg said they would file drug charges against a 23-year-old Connellsville man. Police alleged the man was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 119 about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said the man possessed suspected cocaine.

Crash reported
State police at Greensburg are investigating what caused a four-vehicle crash on Route 31, near Three Mile Hill, about 6 p.m. Thursday. Police said the drivers in the chain-reaction crash were Gregory Thomas Stouffer, 23, of Alverton; Winifred A. Derbish, 56, of Pittsburgh; Robert J. Robinson, 49, of Smithfield; and Kathy S. Mineo, 34, of Acme. Derbish had four passengers in her vehicle and Mineo had one, according to police.

State police said that vehicles driven by Richard A. Luster, 48, of Greensburg and Clarence L. Leppard, 51, of Point Marion collided on April 3 while they were traveling near the Fayette County Area Vocational-Technical School. A passenger in Leppard’s car, Priscilla S. Cordwell, 39, of Masontown, was taken by ambulance to Uniontown Hospital for unknown injuries.

Mark Kutek, 63, of New Salem told state police Sunday that someone broke the front window of his home by shooting it with a yellow paint ball. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Morphine stolen
State police said that someone removed 57 milliliters of morphine sulfate from Hillside Manor between April 5 and 10.
