Bernice Wilson Johnston, age 92, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Nemacolin, Pa, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on May 24, 1913, in Fairchance, Pa., the daughter of George Wilson and Winnifred Wilson.

Bernice was a 1932 graduate of Cumberland Township High School.

She was retired from the United States State Department in Washington D.C. after 30 years of service.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frederick Johnston, and five brothers, George, William, Roy, Arthur, and Maitland Wilson.

Bernice is survived by three sisters: Irene Lewellyn of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mildred Mills of Tampa, Florida and Gladys Wilson of Nemacolin, Pa.; two brothers: Arnold Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina and Glenn Wilson of Westland, Michigan.

Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director/Supervisor, 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 12 to 1 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Vucic officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
