State police said Kristen Grego, 24, of Vanderbilt was allegedly struck in the face by a 27-year-old Vanderbilt man during an argument in the township at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Television stolen

State police said a 5-inch television owned by Helen Valusek, 80, of Uniontown and a wallet owned by Ann Spiranac, 89, of Uniontown were stolen from the Mount Macrina Nursing Home in North Union Township between 3 p.m. March 30 and 5:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Two charged

Southwest Regional Police said Thomas Lee Sobolek, 34, and Melanie Lynne Sobolek, 30, both of Newell, were charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct before Magisterial District Judge Jesse Cramer after an incident at a Newell Road residence at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Man assaulted

Michael Shaffer of Vanderbilt told state police that a woman he knows backed her car into him in a parking lot on Route 51 at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, causing bruises to his right leg, police said.

Teen cited

State police said a 17-year-old Laurel Highlands’ student was cited for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he allegedly broke four windows at the high school during an argument with his girlfriend at 1:20 p.m. Monday.

Man charged

State police said Brain Porter, 29, of Cardale was charged with criminal trespass after he entered the Thanksgiving Street home of Louis Johnson, 50, of Uniontown at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Guns stolen

David Palmer, 61, and Michael Palmer, 35, both of Elcenizo, Texas, told state police that three rifles, a handgun and a television were stolen from a building at 7545 National Pike between Feb. 1 and Feb. 15, state police said.

Rebecca Fields, 45, of Uniontown told state police that her Pioneer car stereo was stolen from her vehicle while parked at 28 Shellie St. between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Crash reported

State police said a car operated by Jonathan Wallace of Daisytown crashed into an embankment on Route 1041 in Lower Tyrone Township at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday.

A passenger, Gayle Suppa of Monongahela suffered minor injuries, police said.

Walter Victor of Waynesburg told state police that a welder was stolen from his toll Gate Run Road garage between 7 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Man injured

State police said David Shaffer of Jefferson suffered injuries after the vehicle he was driving struck several trees on Oak Forrest Road at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said Shaffer was flown to a Pittsburgh Hospital for treatment.
