Man charged

State police said Tommy W. Thomas, 38, of Connellsville was charged with harassment after he allegedly grabbed Monica Powell, 29, of Connellsville by the arm and tried to pull her from her vehicle at a parking lot on Bessemer Road at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Uniontown

Warrant served

City police said a warrant was served on Thomas Long, 28, of 57 Lincoln St., Uniontown, at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday in regards to Long allegedly receiving stolen property.

Police said Long, who was already in Fayette County Prison on other charges, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Mark Blair and returned to prison.

Connellsville

Investigations continue

Police are conducting investigations into the following unrelated incidents:

– An April 7 theft of a black duffel bag containing women’s clothes, a blue backpack containing six video games and two video game consoles from an unlocked vehicle parked at Martin’s Food Store.

– An April 8 criminal mischief when numerous vehicles parked along Wills Road, East Washington Avenue and East Fayette Street were hit by eggs.

– An April 8 criminal mischief when the windshield of a vehicle parked in North Manor was broken.

Anyone with information about any of the ongoing investigations is asked to call police at 724-628-2501, ext. 110.

Connellsville

Charges filed

Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:

– Richard L. Cossell III, 26, of Mill Run with retail theft after he was allegedly observed removing two cans of spray deodorant from Shop ‘N Save on April 8.

– George T. Dillinger, 44, of McClellandtown with public drunkenness, harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly struck an unidentified female April 8 during an incident in the 300 block of South 8th Street.

– Sarah Ankrom, 22, of Markleysburg with public drunkenness after she was allegedly found intoxicated in the 200 block of East Fayette Street on April 9.

– Thomas A. Weaver, 41, of Burlington, Vt., after he was allegedly found intoxicated on an Amtrak train April 10. Police said that officers were contacted to meet the approaching train and remove an alleged unruly passenger.

Redstone Twp.

Teen charged

State police said a 14-year-old boy was charged with retail theft after he stole several items from the Redstone Township Dollar General Store at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Luzerne Twp.

Money stolen

Harold Campbell, 86, of Allison told state police that about $110 was stolen from her Allison home between 7 p.m. Sunday and 1:10 p.m. Monday, police said.

Vehicles collide

State police said vehicles driven by Timothy Bikowicz of Millsboro and Christopher Defino of Brier Hill collided on Route 40 at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

Grave markers stolen

State police said 68 bronze grave markers were stolen from a storage shed at LaFayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.

Georges Twp.

Man charged

Timothy James Angelo, 23, of Leckrone was charged by police with criminal mischief before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham after he allegedly kicked furniture owned by Pamela Barber, 43, of Smithfield at her John Ash Lane home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

South Union Twp.

Hit-and-run reported

State police said a purple Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a man in his 20s with dark hair struck a vehicle operated by Abbey French, 20, of Smithfield on South Mount Vernon Avenue March 28 and then fled the scene.

Menallen Twp.

Money stolen

Brenda Walters, 48, told state police someone stole $40 from her pickup while it was parked in Keisterville between 8 p.m. April 5 and 4 p.m. April 7, police said.
