Pasquino “Pat” DiCarlo
Pasquino “Pat” DiCarlo, 77, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at his home in Jefferson Hills, surrounded by friends and family Pat was born July 24, 1928, in Republic, Pa., son of Edward “Shorty” and Jacinta “Jennie” (Carapella) DiCarlo.
He was an electrical engineer working for over 25 years at United States Steel’s Clairton and Homestead Works. He was a member of the Jefferson Hills Lions Club, American Legion Post 712 in Pleasant Hills, Past Chairman of Jefferson Hills Recreation Board and a charter member of Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in the Floreffe/Elrama area of Jefferson Hills. Pat was in the United States Navy during World War II and the United States Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor (Austin) DiCarlo in August of 2004; a sister, Mary Urewicz and a grandson, Arthur F. Noonan, III.
Pat is survived by three daughters: Maria DiCarlo of Jefferson Hills, Deborah (Travis) Harrison of Midlothian, Virginia and Patricia Zeleznick of South Park; four sons: Dr. Edward DiCarlo of New York City, N.Y., Daniel DiCarlo of Belleville, ME, Raymond (Cara) DiCarlo of Georgetown, KY, and Christopher (Patty) DiCarlo of Jefferson Hills; seven grandchildren: Daniel and Mark Harrison, Adam and Karl Zeleznick, Anthony, Nick and Gina DiCarlo; three sisters: Albina (Vaughn) Ladd of Ohio, Jean Peale of NJ, and Amalia (Michael) Coumos of TX. and brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 State Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m., on Easter Sunday. A funeral prayer will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:15 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m., in Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, the Reverend Robert Kohuch officiating.
Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills.
