Elizabeth A. Kurutz Rafter
Elizabeth A. Kurutz Rafter, age 68, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006. She was born December 4, 1937, in Star Junction, Pa., the daughter of Steven Kurutz and Margaret Zedhovan Kurutz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Rafter, and two brothers, Timothy Kurutz Sr. and Steven Kurutz.
Elizabeth is survived by three daughters: Regina Gardner and her husband, Scotty, of Perryopolis, Pa., Shawnna Wrightstone and her husband, Brian, of Etters, Pa., and Monica Rafter and her special companion, Jay Young, of Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was also the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Shawn Gardner, Joshua Gardner, Sierra Gardner, Christopher Wrightstone, Emalee Wrightstone and Aleea Wrightstone.
She also has two sisters: Barbara Brown and her husband, Dale, of Albany, Georgia, and Rose Campbell of Port Charlotte, Florida. Elizabeth also has several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH in PERRYOPOLIS, Pa., on Tuesday, April 18, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father John T. Euker as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA 15473.
