Hazel Hopwood Benshoof, 89 years, of Fairchance, Pa., passed away Friday, April 14, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born November 30, 1916, in Smithfield, Pa., the cherished daughter of Walter Hopwood and Edna Morgan Hopwood.

Hazel lived in the state of California for many years before moving to Fairchance.

Hazel was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Benshoof, brothers, Morgan William Hopwood and Charles Roger Hopwood, an infant sister, Ruth Mae Hopwood, and a nephew, Scott Hustead.

Surviving are her loving sister, Lorraine Hustead and her husband Boyd of Fairchance, Pa.; nephews: Walter R. Hopwood and Bruce H. Hustead; and niece, Colleen Fortugna.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Monday, April 17, 2006, from 2 until 4 p.m. Services will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Stanley L. Rogers officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
