Ashley Noelle Lavery of Uniontown is engaged to wed Timothy Alan Russell of Hopwood. A ceremony for Sept. 2 at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, is planned.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Kathleen Lavery of Uniontown and Patrick Lavery of Bellefonte. She is a 2002 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and is attending California University of Pennsylvania.

Her fiance is the son of Frank and Linda Russell of Hopwood. He is a 2000 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 2003 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He is employed with Argon ST.
