Monahan-SanFilippo
Justine Alicia SanFilippo and Travis Anthony Monahan were united in marriage on Aug. 28 at Rutgers University, Kirkpatrick Chapel, in New Brunswick, N.J. The nuptial Mass was officiated by the Rev. Paul J. Connors with Deacon Frank D’Auguste as con-celebrant.
The bride is the daughter of Jennifer and George SanFilippo of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Stephen Wallace of Masontown and the late Alice Wallace, and Mary SanFilippo of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Frank W. SanFilippo.
The bridegroom is the son of Thomas J. Monahan and stepson of Diana Edels of Allentown, N.J. His mother is Carol Ann Perfetto of Natural Bridge, N.Y. He is the grandson of Geraldine Paul and the late Paul Perfetto, and the late Chester P. Monahan and late Maude Jones of Carthage, N.Y.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown with halter style neckline, fitted bodice and dropped waist, and sweeping train, all embellished with Alencon lace, hand-sewn pearls and Swarovski crystals. A pearl and crystal tiera held a two-tiered fingertip silk illusion veil with scattered Swarovski crystal droplets and a blusher.
Serving as maids of honor were the bride’s sisters, Andrea and Christa SanFilippo of Houston, Texas. Bridesmaids were Melissa Goedde of Houston, and Bridget Bergan of Boston, Mass.
The bridegroom’s sister, Tonya Monahan of Allentown, N.J., served as best woman. Groomsmen were Thomas J. Monahan Jr., brother of the groom; Justin Gartland, Seth Gartland, Bradford Jenkins, and Scott Walsh-Riddle, all of Allentown, N.J. Ushers were Robert Gadsby and Keith Makai of New Jersey.
A reception was held at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, N.J.
The bride is a graduate of Klein High School in Spring, Texas, and the University of Notre Dame. After a career in modeling and formerly employed by Ford Models in New York, she now attends the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is practicing health and nutritional counseling in Princeton, N.J. She is also pursuing her master’s degree.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Allentown High School and is currently attending Mercer College pursuing a degree in engineering. He is the owner of Rialto Barber Shop on Nassau Street in Princeton, N.J.
After a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Hamilton Square, N.J.
