Verna Bybel Cable, age 84, of Denton, Texas, and formerly of Scottdale, Pa., who retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Youngwood, Pa., died early Saturday morning, April 15, 2006, in the Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She is survived by her son, John H. Cable and his wife, Sharon Lee (Davis) Cable, of Denton, Texas; grandchildren: Tina Marie Melacek and her husband, James, of Krugerville, Texas, Terrie Lynn McNabb and her husband, Scott, of Aubrey, Texas, and John Eugene Cable of Lewisville, Texas; five great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Bybel Bitner of Scottdale, Pa.; and brother, Steve Bybel and his wife, Eva Mae, of Port Charlotte, Florida.

Family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 East Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 19, until 9 a.m.
