Eleanor m. Pilla, 81, of Alliance, Ohio, formerly of Connellsville, Pa., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in the McCrea Manor, Alliance, Oh. She was born September, 27, 1924, in Morrell, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Kathryn Snyder Sklenar.

Eleanor was a graduate of the former Dunbar Township High School with the class of 1942. Earlier in her life she worked for the Anchor Hocking Corporation in South Connellsville for 9 years. She then worked as a Beautician at her own Beauty Shop for 37 years. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Connellsville and the Lois Circle. While living in Ohio she attended the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Alliance with her Being Pastor Dean Lewis. She belonged to the Esther Circle there and was a volunteer at the Alliance Community Hospital.

Eleanor is survived by her loving sons: George F. Pilla and his wife, Linda and John Pilla all of Alliance, Ohio; her grandchildren: Shana Baum and her husband, Justin, Ryan Pilla and his wife, Melissa and Eric and J.P. Pilla and her great grandsons: Tyler and Mario Pilla. She is also survived by a niece, Ruthann Dziedzicki and several other nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, George A. Pilla on August 17, 1990 and by 3 brothers, Paul, John, and Alex Sklenar and a sister, Helen Nebraska.

Family and friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m., Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street Connellsville, Pa., where a Prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Connellsville, Pa., with Rev. Phillip Ramstad officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
