Elvaree Titchenell Miller Ringer
Elvaree Titchenell Miller Ringer, 78, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in Markleysburg, Pa., following a two year illness of renal failure and heart failure. She was born in White Oak, Preston County, West Virginia, in 1927 to James and Myrtle Titchenell and was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters: Ola Riley, Lovey Hartman Ashby, Marvin Elwood Titchenell and Junior Titchenell.
Her first husband, Earl Miller, was killed in Normandy during World War II. She married Willard Ringer in 1949, and they located in Markleysburg, Pa., where she worked side by side with him building and managing first and a trucking company and later a bulk oil distribution company. Willard died in 1986, and Elvaree continued to run the trucking business until 1995, when she retired.
She is survived by her only child, Earldean Browning and son-in-law, Cheston (Sonny) Browning, of Florida and two grandsons: Willard Scott Browning and his wife, Alice, of Accident, Md. and Mark Browning of Markleysburg, Pa.; three great grandchildren: Douglas and Laura Butner of Accident MD. and Julia Marie Browning of Windber, Pa.
Elvaree was a member of the Saint Joan of Arch Church, the Great Meadows Garden Club and The Margaret E. Caven White Shrine.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, Pa. on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 10:30 a.m., at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., in Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Sam Lamendola, celebrant.
Interment will follow in Terra Alta Cemetery, Terra Alta, West Virginia
Margaret E. Caven White Shrine of Jerusalem No 42 will hold Ritualistic Services at 7 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
