Edwin R. Shipley, age 47, of Masontown, Pa., died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa. He was born April 28, 1958, in Uniontown, Pa.

Edwin loved to spend time listening to country music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Wayne Shipley, in 1997.

Here to cherish his memory are his mother, Thelma (Wilson) Shipley of Masontown, Pa.; three brothers: Bruce Shipley and his wife, Emily, of El Paso, Texas, Leonard Shipley and his wife, Gwen, of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Erwin Shipley and his wife, Sharon, of Masontown, Pa.; two sisters: Darla Purcel and her husband, Dave, of Lorraine, Ohio, and Dorothy Shipley Tanner of Carmichaels, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private visitation on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, and a private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary McFadden officiating in the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main Street, Masontown, Pa.

Interment will follow in Masontown Cemetery.
