Mary Tittnich Berdar, age 82, of Ralph, Fayette County, Pa., passed away Thursday, April 20, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born May 13, 1923, in Herbert, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Matthew Tittnich and Anna Muska Tittnich.

Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Salem and the Church School Mothers.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Charles Berdar, a daughter, Patricia Berdar Dobek, a son, Michael Berdar, five brothers, Daniel, Samuel, George, John and Michael Tittnich, and one sister, Kathryn Tittnich.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Berdar and his wife, Beverly, of Masontown, Pa., and Captain Charles J. Berdar serving with the United States Navy in Norfolk, Virginia, and his wife, Barbara; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Ann Renois of New York state and Irene Blanda of Smock, Pa.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today, April 24, after 7 p.m., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 26, until 10 a.m. when Parastas will be held.

A Funeral Service follows at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Father Vitaly Dudkin officiating.

Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery.

Panachida will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
