The Fayette County Community Service All Stars awards breakfast will be held Wednesday, May 10, at the Sun Porch restaurant. Standing (from left) are John Evans, committee member; Bob Garrett, director of the Community Foundation of Fayette County, one of the program’s donors; and Mark O’Keefe, executive editor of the Herald-Standard, a co-sponsor of the event. Under the program, local high schools, business schools and universities nominate a top student for their community service. The students are honored at the breakfast and also receive a scholarship through money donated by various people and groups throughout the area.
