Volunteer firefighters from North Union Township and West Leisenring work to free a woman who was entrapped when the vehicle she was driving crashed into a tree on Edison Avenue in North Union Township at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday, officials said. In addition to the fire companies, emergency personnel from Uniontown Fireman’s Ambulance and the state police responded to the scene, according to Fayette County 911. The woman’s identity and condition were unavailable as of press time.
