One injured in wreck At least one person was injured when two vehicles crashed on Route 40 near the entrance to the Uniontown Mall at 7 p.m. Thursday, according to Fayette County 911.

In addition to state police, volunteer firefighters from South Union Township and West Leisenring, along with emergency personnel from Uniontown Fireman’s Ambulance and American Ambulance responded to the crash, 911 officials said. No further details were available as of press time.

Uniontown city police said Jennifer Weimer, 20, of Adah was charged with harassment after an incident at a home on Union Street at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Break-in reported

According to Brownsville police, someone broke into Transcore Establishment, part of the Union Station Building, between 10:30 a.m. Monday and 10:36 a.m. Tuesday. The individual entered through a window on the west side of the building at 53 Market St. Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to contact the Brownsville police at 724-785-7334, or through the Fayette County 911 center.

Eggs thrown

Brownsville police were told that children were throwing eggs at the intersection of 18th Street and Alicia Road Tuesday at 4:19 p.m. Police checked the area but did not locate the juveniles.

Hit-and-run reported

Brownsville police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that was reported Tuesday at 8:21 a.m. at 505 Baltimore St. A silver Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Stephen Sulitz received damage to the driver’s side. Red paint was left on the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.

Wallet lost

Beverly Hughes, of 131 Franklin Drive, Brownsville, told police that she lost her large, blue wallet containing her driver’s license, credit cards and photos. Hughes told police she believed the wallet was lost at Uniontown Mall. The incident was reported Tuesday at 1:13 p.m. Hughes was advised to cancel her credit cards.

Anthony Pratt, 19, and Vernon Pratt, 21, both of Uniontown, were cited for disorderly conduct after an incident at a 12 Collins Ave. residence at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Uniontown police said a silver and blue Mongoose bicycle was recovered in the city at 2:56 a.m. Thursday.

Scott Edward Duygo, 22, of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness after he was found under the influence of alcohol in the city at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, city police said.

Uniontown police said a teenager is suspected of stealing a pack of gum from a city store at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Cars collide

State police said vehicles operated by Elmer Riggar Jr., 32, of Smock and Remzi Hutchinson, 29, of Pittsburgh collided on Route 201 in Flatwoods at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday.

Both men suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville for treatment, police said.

Crash reported

Harold Stoots, Charles Haller and Darion Greenwalt, all of Vanderbilt, suffered injuries when the vehicle Stoots was driving struck a barn on Lenkey Road at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Haller and Greenwalt were passengers in the vehicle.

Cars collide

Vehicles operated by James Valentine, 53, of Markleysburg and Joseph Diehl, 80, of Mt. Savage, Md., collided on Route 40 at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, according to state police reports.

Police reported that Valentine suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

Window broken

State police said the rear window of a vehicle owned by Allen Chrise of Uniontown was broken while it was parked at 35 Cycle St. between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Gun stolen

Kori Spoh of Allison and Robert Grow Jr. of Brownsville were charged with theft before Magisterial District Judge Michael Defino after they stole a .32 caliber Derringer pistol owned by Herbert Branan of Republic at 5 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Women charged

East Bethlehem Township police reported that Cindy Lou Walters, 45, of Richeyville and Tina Marie Williams, 45, of Vestaburg were charged with theft after they stole 11 commemorative caches and a plaque from the Fredericktown Post Office at 7:45 a.m. March 31.
