Rev. Mary Ellen Shultz
The Rev. Mary Ellen Shultz, age 66 years, of Crystal Works, Smithfield, Pa., went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 28, 2006, from Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on August 2, 1939, the daughter of the now late Mary Ellen Hagner.
She was a member of and Pastor of the Outcrop Apostolic Church for more than 27 years.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Peter Paul Shultz Jr., two brothers, Donald and Ed Hagner, and one sister, Gladys.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Paul Shultz Sr.; three daughters: Brenda Newman and husband, Robert Thomas, of Nilan, Pa., Joann Abels and husband, Carl, of Point Marion, Pa., and Tamela “Tammy” Barton and husband, Mark, of Shoaf, Pa.; three brothers: Wilbur Hagner of Masontown, Pa., Arthur Hagner and wife, Dora, of Masontown, Pa., and Jim Hagner of California state; one sister, Evelyn Stewart of Smithfield, Pa.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME OF SMITHFIELD, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues on Tuesday, May 2, in the OUTCROP APOSTOLIC CHURCH from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Robert Swope officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.
