William J. ‘Woody’ Bell

William J. “Woody” Bell, 83, of Dilliner, Pa., died on Friday, August 4, 2006, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. Mr. Bell resided his entire life in Poland Mines and served with the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater.

He retired after 40 years of service in 1978 from John P. Sorice Trucking of Washington, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Celli; daughters: Marie C. Babb and her husband, Ronald of Dilliner, Mary E. Morgan and her husband, Marshall of Morgantown, Rose A. Brown and her husband, Harry Marvin of Dilliner and Candy B. Barnhart and her husband, Duncan of Carmichaels, Pa.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Richards of Waynesburg, Pa., Bertha Howard of Greensboro, Pa. and Pauline Metcalf of Bobtown, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., and from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2006.
