Fred ‘Fritz’ DeCarlucci

Fred “Fritz” DeCarlucci, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully surrounded by his family, Friday, August 4, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on December 21, 1922, in Uniontown, Pa., to Guy and Mary Anne Lando DeCarlucci.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Stella Jakobowski DeCarlucci, a grandson, Fredrick (Ricky) DeCarlucci, and the following brothers and sisters: Louise Lloyd, Ravia DeCarlucci, Albert DeCarlucci, Samuel DeCarlucci, Tony DeCarlucci, Alice Kress, Henry DeCarlucci, John DeCarlucci and Richard DeCarlucci.

Fred was a member of the North Union Class of 1942, the former co-owner of Henry’s Produce Company, the former Manager of the Springdale Golf Course and an employee of the Fayette Vo-Tech School.

He enjoyed his many friends at the Springdale Golf Course, at the AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, at the many dances he attended, and at Abundant Life Church, where he was a Sunday greeter and participated in the Bible study group. “Fritz” always looked forward to planning with the All North Union Reunion Committee where he was past president.

Left to cherish his memory are a son, Fred DeCarlucci, Jr. and his wife, Connie; and a daughter, Linda and her husband, Bob Fullem all of Uniontown; grandchildren: Marc Fullem and his wife, Patricia of Chicago, Illinois and Holly DeCarlucci-Jones and her husband, Roy of Pittsburgh; great-grandchildren: Lily and Charlotte Fullem and Anthony Fredrick Jones; and a sister, Adeline Doyle of West Palm Beach, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. The family will receive friends in the funeral home, today, August 6, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday in the ABUNDANT LIFE CHURCH from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of his life at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nicholas Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Cemetery.

The family suggests donations may be made in his memory to the Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Road, Uniontown, Pa. 15401.
