John S. Burgan
John S. Burgan, 72, of Eighty Four, Pa., died Friday, August 4, 2006, in his home. He was a graduate of Bentleyville High School and received a bachelor degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh in 1969.
Mr. Burgan was a United States Army veteran and owned and operated the Burgan’s farm in Eighty Four his entire life.
In 2003 he retired from the Social Security Administration after 33 years of service. While employed, he worked in both the Charleroi and Washington offices as a Claims Representative.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Krisko Burgan; sons: John A. Burgan and Bob Burgan both of Eighty Four; sister, Ruth Jacob of Cincinnati, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from noon to 1 p.m.
