Brownsville Rotary Club student of the month is John Marcolini. A senior at Brownsville Area High School, he is the son of John and Tammy Marcolini of Brownsville and a member of the St. Nicholas Church. His high school activities include National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Senior Cabinet, Academic League, Debate Team, Musical Crew, Gateway, B.A.T.S. and Future is Mine.
Marcolini has played tennis and has served as soccer team captain for the past four years. For the past three years, he was the statistician of the boy’s basketball team. He is president of the band and plays in the marching, concert and jazz band. He is treasurer of the Senior Class, SNHS, Future is Mine, and sound technician at the school. He has competed on the Hometown High-Q team and at the PJASD Competition for the past three years on the regional and state levels.
This fall he plans to attend Penn State and major in broadcast meteorology.
