Aide to visit A legislative aide from the office of state Rep. Peter J. Daley (D-California) will be at the Menallen Township Municipal Building, Searights Crossroads, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday to meet with constituents from Precinct 3 (New Salem.)

Matters dealing with state government may be referred to this office.

The Fayette County office is located at 113A Thornton Road on Route 166 in Redstone Township. More information is available by calling 724-785-1201.

Office hours posted

U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Holidaysburg) will hold office hours starting at 11 a.m. today at the Wharton Township Municipal Building in Farmington.

Shuster said the office hours would provide constituents an opportunity to speak directly with him about issues important to them.

Santorum to visit

As part of his re-election campaign, “Keep Up the Fight,” U.S. Sen. Richard Santorum (P-Pa.) will make a stop in Storey Square in Uniontown today.

A press release from Santorum’s office indicated that he asked Pennsylvanian’s to “Join the Fight” when he first ran for Senate in 1994.

“Twelve years later, I am asking those same folks and thousands more to ‘Keep Up the Fight’ for Pennsylvania,” he said.

Santorum is slated to discuss issues such as national security, health care, energy independence, education, the economy, lower taxes and family values.

He will be at Storey Square from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m., before heading to the Greene County Fair at 3:30 p.m.

Santorum’s opponent in November is Democrat Bob Casey Jr.
