Margaret E. “Peg” Cutler Takoch
Margaret E. “Peg” Cutler Takoch, 94, of Uniontown, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at home with her loving family at her side. She was born November 29, 1911, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Thomas and Mary Kralovich Cutler and resided at 239 Whyle Avenue until September 16, 1930, when she married Frank J. Takoch.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Takoch on August 18, 1992, sisters, Mary Fecko, Anna Zeleny, Kathryn Fecko, Helen Marcus, Josephine Baker, Pearl Hammer Greer, Mildred Fedor; brothers, Frank and Mike Cutler and a dear daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Takoch. She was the last surviving member of her parents’ immediate family.
She was a member to Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church of Fairchance, Pa the Christian Mothers and the Rosary Society and the PFA Farmers Association.
Margaret helped her husband on the dairy farm, enjoyed making home churned butter and great old fashion cottage cheese. She also loved to can, cook and was an excellent baker with out using recipes. She had a smile and good word for everyone.
Surviving are her son, Michael B. “Mickey” Takoch and wife, Mary; daughters, Delores Takoch and Mary Ann Mrowca and husband, Frank “Moose” Mrowca; grandson, Michael “Mikie” Takoch, Jr. all of Uniontown, Pa.; five step grandchildren; her beloved dog, Tammy; sitter, Doris Myers; and the loving Albert Gallatin Hospice Nurses.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Friday, August 11, 2006, until 10:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m., in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Thomas Lukach, her nephew as Celebrant and Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki, her pastor as Co-Celebrant.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, because of Margaret’s love of flowers and God, which she loved to attend daily Mass, that you give either a mass, sanctuary candle or donation of flowers to Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church for holidays or at your convenience.
