Anthony ‘Tony’ Louis Glebis

Anthony “Tony” Louis Glebis, 57, of Smithfield, Pa., died Thursday, August 10, 2006, in his home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 11, 1949, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Tony Glebis and Yolanda Cupillo Glebis.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by two sisters in infancy, maternal and paternal grandparents and his loving wife of 18 years, Cheryl Lynn Hall Glebis.

He was a Catholic by faith, a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School in 1967 and a member of Building Trades Union Local 286 of Brownsville, Pa., National Rifle Association, Harley Owners Group, ABATE Fayette County Chapter and he was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcyclist.

Surviving are his loving wife of 12 years, Linda K. Rhodes Sauers Glebis; his mother, Yolanda Cupillo Glebis of Smithfield, Pa.; children: Dwayne E. Hall and wife, Jody of Smithfield, Anthony Louis Glebis, Jr. and wife, Cheri of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Michael Anthony Glebis and wife, Angela of Smithfield and Heather Lynn Stillwagon and husband, Joe of Smithfield; eight grandchildren: Taylor and Kolby Hall, Kerstin and Kaleb Glebis, Michael and Allison Glebis and Brandon and Bryan Stillwagon; sister, Geraldine Shannon and her husband, Dave of Smithfield; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and the Hall family.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, from 7 to 9 p.m., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, August 14, 2006, until 11 a.m. the hour of Service with Pastor Buzz Hall officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township, Pa.
