Rev. William D. Wilson, 61, of Jefferson, Pa., died Thursday, August 10, 2006, in his home. Mr. Wilson graduated from Redstone High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a coal miner/foreman for Maxus Energy’s Gateway Mine.

Mr. Wilson was an ordained minister and was a former pastor of the Little Zion Baptist Church in Jefferson.

Surviving are his children: Contessa Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pa., William Wilson Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Kumau Wilson and his wife, Elodia of Jefferson; three grandchildren; brothers, Sam Wilson and Tommy Wilson both of Brownsville, Pa., and Eugene Wilson of Cardale, Pa.; and a sister, Emma Jean Wilson of Brownsville, Pa.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor.
