Anthony ‘Tony’ Louis Glebis

Anthony “Tony” Louis Glebis, age 57, of Smithfield, Pa., died Thursday, August 10, 2006, in his home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 11, 1949, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Tony Glebis and Yolanda Cupplo Glebis.

“Tony” was a Catholic by faith, a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School in 1967 and a member of the Building Trades Union Local 286 of Brownsville, Pa., the National Rifle Association, Harley Owners Group, and ABATE Fayette County Chapter.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcyclist.

He was predeceased by his father, two sisters in infancy, maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents, and his loving wife of 18 years, Cheryl Lynn Hall Glebis.

Surviving are his loving wife of 12 years, Linda K. Rhodes Sauers Glebis; his mother, Yolanda Cupplo Glebis of Smithfield, Pa.; children: Dwayne E. Hall and his wife, Jody, of Smithfield, Anthony Louis Glebis Jr. and his wife, Cheri, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Michael Anthony Glebis and his wife, Angela, of Smithfield, Pa., and Heather Lynn Stillwagon and her husband, Joe, of Smithfield, Pa.; eight grandchildren: Taylor and Kolby Hall, Kerstin and Kaleb Glebis, Michael and Allison Glebis and Brandon and Bryan Stillwagon; sister, Geraldine Shannon and her husband, Dave, of Smithfield; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and the Hall family.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today (Monday, August 14) until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Buzz Hall officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
