Merle Edward “Mark” Rankin
Merle Edward “Mark” Rankin, 67, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, August 14, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born on June 4, 1939, in Fairchance, Pa., the son of the late Earl Rankin and Franchion V. “Pat” Huey Rankin Kelly.
Mark was employed as a Transportation Director of the Fayette County FACT system until his recent retirement.
He was a member of the BPOE # 370 Uniontown and AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
Surviving are his step-father, George J. “Tuck” Kelley of Fairchance, Pa., dear close friends, Brenda and Michael Price of Uniontown, Pa. and their children Mike and Dan Price, who he was their godfather.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa., on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 with the Rev. Wade L. Kuhlewind officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.
