Joseph J. Suitor
Joseph J. Suitor, 73, of Scottdale, Pa., passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2006, in his residence. Joe was a self-employed electrician serving the local area for many years. He previously was employed at Modulus Corporation and years ago served as the janitor for Saint John’s School and church in Scottdale. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served as a sergeant in the United States Marines’ First Division and was decorated with the Korean War Conflict, Good Conduct, and Sharpshooter medals. He graduated from Connellsville High School, Class of 1952, and attended the Uniontown Technology Institute.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. Shaner and husband, Scott of Scottdale; three sons: Joseph M. Suitor and wife, Ruth of Little Summit, John W. Suitor and wife, Lori of Scottdale, and James A. Suitor of Scottdale; 15 grandchildren; brother, William Suitor of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law: Susann Minsterman of Scottdale and Sister Mary Margaret Minsterman CDS of Erie; brother-in-law, Rev. Father M. Joseph “Bud” Minsterman of Scottdale; numerous nieces and nephews and his special best friend, Tim Hurst of Scottdale.
Family and friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m., Friday in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa.,
