William Richard Bryner, 87, of Flatwoods, Pa., passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2006, in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa. He was born August 26, 1918, in Ohiopyle, Pa., the son of the late Richard Bryner and Margaret Bell Largent Bryner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Bryan Bryner; brothers and sisters, and his special companion, Betty Lehman.

William was a veteran of the United States Army, an avid bingo player playing usually seven nights a week and a member of the Uniontown Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by his two loving granddaughters: Mary Jo Payton of Flatwoods, Pa., and Shawn Rafitz of Grindstone, Pa.; great-grandchildren: Clinton, Chad and Chase; his brother, Clifford Bryner of Hopwood, Pa.; many other relatives and friends that loved him very much.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, PA., on Monday, August 21, 2006, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. the hour of service. Interment follows.
