Uniontown Teen cited
City police cited Raina Moreau, 18, of Chalk Hill for underage drinking after police found her hanging out of the passenger side of a car parked in a lot on Morgantown Street intoxicated on Aug. 18 shortly after 2 a.m.

Woman struck
City police arrested Joseph Fitzpatrick of 52 West Askern St. on Aug. 18 for allegedly striking his girlfriend Jennifer Miller on Aug. 18 at sometime around 2:30 a.m. He was arrested in Hopwood by Uniontown and Wharton Township police after driving while allegedly intoxicated. He was charged with DUI, simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Wendy Davis and placed in prison after failing to post $1,000 straight bond.
Connellsville
Man charged
A South Connellsville man was charged after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old Connellsville girl July 8 and 9 at an East Georgia Avenue residence where he was staying. Edward Arnold Keedy, 41, was charged with three counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault, one count of corruption of minors and two counts of selling and furnishing liquor or malt brewed beverages to minors on Aug. 14. Keedy was arraigned Thursday before Magistrate District Justice Robert Breakiron and placed in Fayette County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bond.

Man arrested
City police arrested Brian Hixon of 131 Coolspring St. on Aug. 18 shortly before midnight and charged him with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and resisting arrest, police said.

Rape reported
A 31-year-old female from Perry Township told state police that she was raped by her husband on Aug. 17 between 10 and 11 p.m. An investigation is ongoing, police said.

Store burglarized
State police said an unknown person or persons broke into the Diamonds Pizza on Grant Street in Cokeburg on Aug. 17 sometime between 10:30 p.m. and noon the next day.

Equipment stolen
State police said someone took lawn equipment valued at $700 from the Fayette County Head Start in Republic on Aug. 17 or 18.

Man hit with car
State police said Marcia Ott, 41, of Smock struck Jeffery Ott, 39, of Perryopolis with her car after a heated verbal argument on Aug. 17 around 3:50 p.m.

Woman charged
Denise Lacey, 39, of Scenery Hill was charged with public drunkenness after officers found her walking along Martindale Road near Beallsville at 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 19.

One injured in crash
David McCrea of Claysville was flown by medical helicopter to a Johnstown hospital after suffering major injuries in a motorcycle crash on Aug. 19 shortly after 12:30 a.m., state police said. McCrea was traveling north on County Line Road near Route 711 when he lost control of his BMW motorcycle and struck a fence, police said.

Vehicles damaged
State police said vehicles driven by Gary W. Gunn, 45, of New Salem and Stefanie M. Fisher, 20, of Brownsville collided on Route 40 at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and the vehicles suffered disabling damage. Bob’s Sunoco, Fayette EMS and New Salem Volunteer Fire Co. assisted at the scene.

Vehicle hit
A white four-door Pontiac Grand-Am struck a vehicle driven by Orlando Contesti, 81, at 1:49 p.m. Thursday on Hopwood-Fairchance Road.
The driver of the Grand-Am did not stop. Contesti was not injured.

Woman charged
State police charged Jo Anne Taylor, 43, with DUI after the vehicle she was driving struck a utility pole at 12:09 a.m. Thursday on Cinder Road. Taylor was taken to Uniontown Hospital where she was treated for moderate injuries.
Connellsville
Jewelry stolen
Someone stole two gold bracelets and two gold necklaces valued at $825 and then pawned the jewelry at Kathryn’s Jewelry in Connellsville Aug. 10-11, according to state police.
The jewelry was stolen from Kathryn’s, according to police reports.

Vehicles collide
Vehicles driven by Barbara Kaputa, 53, of Point Marion and Charles Eagle, 71, of Farmington collided on Route 40 east of Hopwood-Cool Spring Road at 10:19 a.m. Thursday, according to state police.
Kaputa and passenger Edward Thompson, 58, also of Point Marion, suffered injuries, but Eagle did not, according to police.
Police cited Kaputa for driving on the right side of the road and careless driving, according to reports.

Nancy Bucci, 54, of Uniontown told state police someone threw a rock into the windshield of her 2001 Toyota Tacoma Friday between 1 and 6 a.m. on Dupont Village Road. Police are asking anyone with information to call state police at 724-439-7111.

State police said someone driving a red Ford F-150 state registration 205ILS red lettering stole $50 worth of gas from the Sunoco on Memorial Boulevard at 10:04 a.m. Friday Police are asking anyone with information to call state police at 724-439-7111.

Albert Brennstenner, 74, of McClellandtown told state police someone threw rocks at his truck windows between 1 and 9 a.m. Friday on old Route 21. Police are asking anyone with information to call state police at 724-439-7111.

Items stolen
James Fonner of Waynesburg told state police someone stole the stereo out of his vehicle while is was parked along Tollgate Run Road between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 8 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9, police said, noting that a pack of cigarettes was also stolen from the vehicle.

Barb Myrga of Newell told Southwest Regional police that several lawn ornaments have been stolen during the last two months from her home on Second Street in Newell, police said.

Man charged
State police said Roger Debolt, 41, of Waynesburg was charged with a violation after he was found driving a vehicle without a required ignition interlock system on Route 188 near Route 21 at 6:10 p.m. Aug. 9.

Flowers stolen
Southwest Regional police said two flowerpots owned by an unidentified person on Market Street were stolen from a Belle Vernon Borough home at 11:06 a.m. Wednesday.

July report given
Fairchance police issued 21 traffic citations during July and 25 written traffic warnings, according to Police Chief Brian Miller. Miller said police investigated one assault, one drug-related incident, three cases of harassment and four cases of theft during the month.

Mailbox damaged
State police said a mailbox belonging to Jack Snyder of Jefferson was damaged between 10 p.m. Aug. 8 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 9. Police reported that the vandal pulled Snyder’s mailbox out of the ground by tying a rope around the post and using their vehicle to pull it out of the ground before fleeing the scene.

Fence damaged
Gregory Hillsman of Mather told state police someone pulled two fence posts out of the ground that were located on his 122 First St. property between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
