Angela Davis of Gibbon Glade has been selected the August 2006 student of the month by the faculty of Laurel Business Institute (LBI). She is scheduled to graduate Sept. 7 with a specialized associate degree in medical secretary transcription. She has a 3.91 grade-point average and she has been named to the dean’s list for four consecutive semesters. Davis graduated with highest honors from Uniontown High School in 2003. She was also named student of the year for Fayette Vo-Tech as a cosmetology student.
Davis completed an internship at Mountain Spring Medical in Farmington and is finishing her second internship at ACS Psychological Associates in Uniontown. After graduation, she plans to be a medical transcriptionist in Florida.
