Szwerc-Martin
Stephanie Lara Martin, a former Uniontown resident, and Michael Francis Szwerc, formerly of Manwah, N.J., were united in marriage on June 3. The Rev. Ken Zaccagnini officiated the nuptial Mass at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
The bride is the daughter of Lois Martin of Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown, and William Martin of Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown. The bridegroom is the son of Joseph and Judith Szwerc of Mahwah, N.J.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a white satin and organza gown adorned with silver beads on the front and back neckline and ending in a chapel-length train. A cathedral-length veil was held by a rhinestone and pearl tiara.
Matron of honor was Laura Cook Kenna. Lisa Miehle, was the bridesmaid.
Best man was Brian Sielski. Groomsmen were Richard Szwerc and Eric Szwerc, brothers of the bridegroom; and William Martin, brother of the bride.
The reception was held at the Uniontown Country Club.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 2000 graduate of Duquesne University. She is a physician assistant at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
The bridegroom is a college and medical school graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. He is section chief of thoracic surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network.
Following a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple is residing in Allentown.
