Betty Miller Wilson

Betty Miller Wilson, 91, of Elizabethtown, Pa., formerly of Uniontown and Hopwood, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at the Retirement Community of Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown. She was born December 24, 1914, in Uniontown, the daughter of the late William Augustus Miller and Elisabeth Mitchell Miller.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Francis Wilson in 1980, and her sister Wilda A Miller.

Betty was a graduate of Uniontown High School, she received her A.B. from Allegheny College, and her Masters from California University. She was a teacher at Benjamin Franklin Junior High School for many years. Betty was a member of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church in Uniontown and All Saints Episcopal Church in Hershey. She was a member of the Great Meadows Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mountain Laurel Garden Club, the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, and the Fayette County Association of School Retirees.

Betty is survived by her cousins: Patsy S. Bradley of Longwood, Fla., and William Smouse of Pittsburgh, and her dear friend, Harold Barrick of the Masonic Village.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown.

Services will be held in the Sell Chapel at the Masonic Village on Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 1 p.m.,

Interment will follow at a later date.
