Centerville Man jailed

Borough police charged Michael Dancheck, 40, of Centerville with assault at 11:30 p.m. Friday after he allegedly injured his 79-year-old mother.

Dancheck was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey and placed in the Washington County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond, police said.

His mother was treated at Washington Hospital for injuries, said police.

Robbery investigated

Borough police are investigating a robbery of the Richeyville Get-Go food mart, where a male wearing a gray hood over his face reportedly robbed the clerk at gunpoint at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

The suspect then fled eastbound on Route 40 driving a tan-colored vehicle with a reddish-colored driver’s door, said police. The suspect is described as being between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet and weighing about 175 pounds. No one was injured during the robbery, police said.

Utility pole struck

Timothy Vandivner Jr. of East Millsboro suffered a minor injury to his right leg when the 1989 Pontiac Firebird he was driving west on Route 40 or Heisterburg Road traveled off the roadway, struck an embankment and impacted a utility pole, breaking it in two pieces, at 8:20 p.m. Friday, said state police.

Police were assisted at the scene by Isabella volunteer firefighters and Fayette EMS. Vandivner was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, while his vehicle required towing after sustaining disabling damage, police said.

Man drops pants

Charges will be filed against a Uniontown man who allegedly bared himself to the owner of the Blue Mountain Motel located along Route 40 near Hopwood, according to state police.

State police in Uniontown said the man allegedly pulled down his pants after an argument with the owner of the motel, who asked that the man leave, at 9:58 a.m. Friday.

No one injured

State police in Uniontown charged Thomas Robert Androsky, 58, with driving under the influence of alcohol following his involvement in a two-vehicle crash on Route 119 Friday.

Vehicles that struck in the 4:50 p.m. crash were a 1995 Ford Escort driven by Androsky and a 2005 Ford 500 driven by Thomas F. McKee, 45, said police.

Androsky, McKee and two passengers in McKee’s vehicle – Deronda S. McKee and a juvenile – were not injured in the crash, police noted.
