Paul W. Petrey
Paul W. Petrey, age 71, of Oliver, Pa., died suddenly on Thursday, November 30, 2006, in the UH Conneaut Medical Center, Conneaut, Ohio. He was born on September 29, 1935, in Packard, Kentucky, the son of Samuel Petrey and Salena (King) Petrey.
Paul served his country in the Korean War with the United States Army.
He retired from Warner & Swasey Manufacturing, Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a machine assembler.
Paul was an avid sportsman and loved hunting.
A wonderful husband and father and a very proud grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
His parents, brothers, Asble, Franklin, James, Ernest and Jess, and sisters, Mary Ann, Ruby and Pearl, preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rose Marie (Opar) Petrey, with whom he would have celebrated 47 years of marriage on February 15, 2007; his loving children: Jack A. Petrey of Akron, Ohio, Samuel Petrey and wife Tracey of Stow, Ohio, and Andrea Marie Sincich and husband Mark of Chesterland, Ohio; four grandchildren: Angela Marie Petrey, Samuel P. Petrey, Anna Marie Sincich and Christopher C. Petrey; three great-grandchildren: Brandon Petrey, Alana Marie Petrey and Austin Jace “A. J.” Petrey; a brother, Marshall Petrey of Cleveland, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, “Spot”.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, December 4, 2006, until 1 p.m. Services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Capan officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
