Dolores A. Bartos Charnovich, age 66, of Brier Hill, Pa., passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2006, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa., in the presence of her loving family after a three-year battle with ovarian cancer which she fought with grace, dignity and courage. She was born in Collier, Fayette County, Pa., on February 8, 1940, the Daughter of Michael Bartos and Anna Kovach Bartos.

Dolores was a member for 28 years of Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Smock, Pa.

She had been employed by the now former Montgomery Ward & Company for 20 years in Uniontown and then Jackson Farms Dairy Store for 10 years.

She was predeceased by an infant sister at birth and her parents.

She is survived by her Husband of 28 years, Richard A. Charnovich; Son, Richard J. Charnovich, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Sisters: Marian Novak and husband Stephen, Bedford, Ohio, and Anna Jane Yuhaniak and husband Andrew, Uniontown, Pa.; Brother, Michael Bartos and wife Ruth, Uniontown, Pa.; Brother-in-Law, Joseph A. Charnovich Jr. and wife Becky, Uniontown, Ohio; Nephews and Nieces: Mark Yuhaniak and wife Linda, Rita Rosso and husband Michael, Sharon Vlk and husband Leroy, Lori Bailey and husband Wayne, Michael Bartos Jr. and wife Jennifer, Melanie Kozak and husband Jared, Shelli Gaone, Carrie Whittaker and husband Kevin, Joseph A. Charnovich III and wife Zorrina and Robert Charnovich and friend Beth; Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews: Marinda, Trevor, Anna, Sarah, Autumn, Tiffany and husband Shawn, Kapri, Jennifer, Justin, Kelsie, Dylon, Shane and wife Danielle, and Landon.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today (Monday, December 4) until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Smock, Pa., with the Rev. Father John A. Sedlak as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m.

Parish Vigil Service was held in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The Rosary was recited on Sunday at 7 p.m.
