Former doctor waives assault charge to court

By Jennifer Harr 2 min read

A former doctor in South Strabane Township, Washington County, who recently pleaded guilty to fondling patients in Washington County, waived a similar charge levied against him in Fayette County to court. William W. Frost Jr., 61, of 315 Ridge Road, Eighty Four, waived the lone count of indecent assault to court, where he will either go to trial or take a plea.

State police trooper Scott Krofcheck charged last month that Frost fondled a Prosperity woman who came to see him at the Jefferson Pain and Rehabilitation Center, Cherry Tree Lane, South Union Township, on Nov. 16, 2004. The woman told police her family doctor recommended she go there for back pain.

During the visit, the woman told police that Frost asked her to pull her pants down to examine her, laid across her, and after he gave her two shots for pain, police allege he rubbed the woman’s buttocks.

Then in January, the woman saw a story about Frost on the television news, and police said she e-mailed the station for more information. Police said the woman went to an attorney and then to police to report what had happened.

A Washington County judge sentenced Frost to 24 months’ probation last week and ordered him to relinquish his medical license after he pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault. Five women in Washington County claimed he fondled them when he was supposed to be treating them for pain.

The Fayette County charge was filed before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr.
