Program planned The Albert Gallatin Area School District Christmas program will be presented at Friendship Hill Elementary School at 1:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at A.L. Wilson Elementary School at 1:45 p.m. Friday, according to district administration.
Sheriff issues report
In November, the office of Fayette County Sheriff Gary D. Brownfield received 414 requests for service.
Among those services were 83 complaints and summons, 28 landlord and tenants/order for possessions, 34 protection-from-abuse orders, 22 mortgage foreclosure complaints, 21 foreign writ services, 17 personal property executions, four writs of possession, 17 real estates sales, services or postings and one miscellaneous service request.
Additionally, requests for 187 gun permits, both new and renewal, were processed and seven bench warrants were served.
A total of 56 prisoners were transported 2,858 miles during the month.
Members of the sheriff’s office logged 152 hours at each the courthouse and the public safety building providing security.
An additional 22 hours used for miscellaneous security and 20 hours was used for community relations programs.
Brownfield listed $27,962.80 in funds forwarded to the county for the month and $8,839.30 in funds for services not reimbursed to the county.
Registration announced
Toys for Tots registration will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Uniontown Mall.
The registration is for infants through children 12 years old who are residents of Fayette County.
Applicants must bring: EBT/medical card for parent and child; proof of date of birth; photo identification for the parent registering the child; and proof of Fayette County residency.
The Toys for Tots program asks that people planning to register do not call the mall because it does not have further information on the sign-ups.
Monthly meeting set
South Connellsville Rod & Gun Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, at the clubhouse. Membership renewals and new members will be accepted at 7 p.m. Food will be served after the meeting and all are encouraged to attend. For more information, call 724-628-8606.
