Hawthorne-Crawford
Ashley Crawford of Lemont Furnace and Charles Hawthorne of McLean, Va., were married June 10 at Asbury United Methodist Church, Uniontown. The Rev. Linda Hawthorne officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Philip Crawford of Oakland Avenue, Uniontown, and Patti Jo Crawford of Curry Hill Road, Lemont Furnace. The bridegroom is the son of Bob and Jackie Hawthorne of Kurpiers Court, McClean, Va.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory antique lace over satin strapless A-line gown adorned with Swarovski crystals and chapel-length train. A pearl and crystal headpiece held a chapel-length veil of illusion.
Maid of honor was Mallory Crawford, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Miller, aunt of the bride; Hallie Cupp, cousin of the bride; Leigh Smitley, Holly Poe and Kristin Weigand. Riley Miller, cousin of the bride, and Jacqueline Westfall, niece of the groom, were flower girls.
Chris Horton was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Marchant, Andrew Friel, Shapour Rafii, Bryan Cromley and Chris Berger. Harrison Westfall and Nicholas Westfall, nephews of the bridegroom, were ring bearers.
A reception was held at the Summit Inn, Farmington.
The bride graduated in 2001 from Laurel Highlands High School and is a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. She is sales manager with FCX Systems Inc. in Morgantown, W.Va.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of McLean High School and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in management information systems. He is attending Carnegie Mellon University pursuing a master’s degree in information systems management.
The couple honeymooned at Providenciales in Turks and Caicos Islands.
They are living on Curry Hill Road, Lemont Furnace.
