Joseph C. Kolesar Jr., age 77, of Continental Two, Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly on Friday, December 8, 2006, in Cameron County, Pa. He was born on July 13, 1929, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Joseph Kolesar Sr. and Bridget (Solarchick) Kolesar.

Joseph was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.

He graduated from the former Georges Township High School and served with the United States Army during peacetime.

After 35 years, he retired from Parks Moving and Storage, Uniontown.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47, Uniontown, and the Continental Two Gun Club and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

His parents and wife, Dorothy Louise (Boskovitch) Kolesar, preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Tony Kolesar and wife Lana of Continental Three, Pa., Richard Kolesar and wife Shirley of Continental Two, Pa., Susan Knapp and husband James of Uniontown, Pa., and Cathy Hall and husband Keith of Continental Two, Pa.; eight grandchildren: Keri Felicion and husband Tony of Pittsburgh, Pa., Rachelle Kolesar and Rich Kolesar both of Continental Two, Pa., James Knapp, Elizabeth Knapp, Janice Cotton and husband Eric, Melissa Long and Vanessa Hall all of Uniontown, Pa.; two great-grandchildren: Jared Newcomer and Jocelyn Cotton; sisters: Mary Ann Kolek of Ohio, Irene Clay and husband Andrew of Continental Two, Pa., Edward Kolesar and wife Mary Alice of Florida and John Kolesar of Continental Two, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, with the Rev. Father Alexander L. Pleban as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.

Saint Joseph’s Parish Family Vigil by The Ministry of Consolation will be held in the Funeral Home today at 3:15 p.m.
