ROSTRAVER TWP. – Six people were flown for medical treatment after being involved in a two-vehicle accident involving a state police cruiser and a sedan. Cpl. Michael J. Dugan of the Uniontown state police barracks said vehicles driven by Trooper Matthew Uram and 20-year-old Jared J. Naylor, no address available, crashed at the intersection of Route 51 and McKenery Drive at 8:28 p.m. Saturday.

Naylor and five passengers sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash and were flown to area hospitals, Dugan’s written report stated.

Police identified the passengers in Naylor’s vehicle as being Leroy Davis, 20; Adam R. Zysk, 20; Ryan Moravec, 21; Stephanie M. Miklos, 19; and Megan E. Gardner, 18.

Uram sustained minor injuries, Dugan stated, noting that both vehicles had major damage.

Police said the accident was reconstructed and the scene processed by state police troopers, who determined Naylor pulled out in front of Uram while attempting to cross Route 51 to turn onto McKenery Drive.

Uram, according to police, allegedly crashed into the front right side of Naylor’s vehicle.

Police did not say if any charges would be filed in regards to the accident.

Information regarding Naylor and his passengers’ conditions was not available Sunday.

In addition to state police, Rostraver Police also assisted at the scene, as did Rostraver Volunteer Fire Department, Webster Volunteer Fire Department, Rostraver EMS, Tri-Community EMS, Uniontown EMS and Perryopolis EMS.

No further information was available.
