Betty Savage Girard
Betty J. Savage Girard, 78, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006, in Laurel Ridge Center with her family at her side. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was born November 2, 1928, in Hopwood, Pa., the daughter of Blaine Savage and Elizabeth Wilburn Savage.
Betty was a longtime cafeteria worker in the Laurel Highlands School District and last worked at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School.
She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Donald Savage and Jack Savage.
Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years, Ross Girard Jr.; two children: Dale Girard of Hopwood and Debra G. Yowler and husband Bruce of Hopwood; three grandchildren: Dale and wife Chelle, Tanya Trainor and Angela Yowler; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two special sisters-in-law: Kathryn Girard of Uniontown, Pa., and Mary Ichco of Ypislanti, Michigan.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, December 13, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Randy Costolo officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
