Willard Lee Wadsworth

Willard Lee Wadsworth, 60, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Sunday, December 10, 2006. He was born October 18, 1946, at Uniontown, Pa., Lee was the son of John Darkangelo of Perryopolis and the late Helen McGauhey Darkangelo.

Lee was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Oriskany. Lee was awarded two Bronze Stars for his service. Lee was a member of the VFW Goldstar Post 7023 and American Legion 752 of Perryopolis, the Perryopolis Historical Society, Star Junction Fish and Game club, the Masonic Lodge in New Jersey, Patriot Guard and the Perryopolis Sokol Club.

Lee was a freelance photographer whose work appeared in many newspapers in our area.

Lee is survived by his wife, Cynthia Adams Wadsworth, two sons, David Wadsworth and wife, Michelle, of Charleroi, Pa. James Martin Wadsworth of Perryopolis, Pa., two grandchildren, Ashley and Emilee Wadsworth, one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Janice) Griffis, one brother, John D. Darkangelo both of Perryopolis, a nephew, John Griffis of Perryopolis and a niece, Cathy Collins and husband, Rick of Columbus, Ohio.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday until 10 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Father John T. Euker will officiate.

Interment will be in Saint John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by VFW Goldstar Post 7023 and the American Legion 752, Perryopolis, Pa.
