Charles L. “Buck” Nicholson, Sr.
Charles L. “Buck” Nicholson, Sr., 76, of Uledi, Pa., died Monday, December 11, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1930, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Norman and Francis Hennessey Nicholson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Shay, brother, John and James Nicholson, a half-brother, Norman Ike Nicholson, and his long-time companion, Ann M. Buskirk.
Charles was a truck driver for Roadway and Carolina Freight companies for 30 years and a member of Teamsters Local 407.
He is survived by his children: Charles Nicholson, Jr., and his wife, Maxine of Seville, Ohio, Deborah Matovich of Brunswick, Ohio, Barbara Morgan and her husband, Clark of Phoenix, Ariz., John Nicholson and his wife, Karen of Brooklyn, Ohio, Roseann Donahue and her husband, Pat of Medina, Ohio, and Michael Nicholson of Brunswick, Ohio; a step-son, Mark Buskirk and his wife, Shelia; a step-daughter, Barbara Buskirk; a brother, Donald Nicholson and his wife, Bertha of California; sisters: Bessie Beal and her husband, Bill of Brook Park, Ohio, Sarah Jacobs of Brunswick, Ohio, and Patty Willis and her husband, Red of Velencia; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his ex-wife, Rose Jennings of Ariz.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2006, from 3 until 7 p.m., and Saturday, December 16, 2006, from 9 until 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of his life at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Bill Kiger officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
